The W/J Metropolitan District is located approximately 5 miles northwest of the City of Aspen, on both sides of the McLain Flats Road and the Upper Woody Creek Road. The District was originally platted in 1990 as the W/J Ranch Employee Housing Project and has been subdivided over the years for housing of various types and lot sizes. The District is roughly 80 acres and was formed in 2004 as a means of financing development, maintenance and management of road, water and wastewater infrastructure plus; provide snow plowing, trash removal, landscaping and administrative services.
